Thread regarding IBM layoffs

We have all seen this movie before

Peak IBM revenue was six years ago. Income has dropped 30% since then. In the same time period, IBM has acquired 55 companies! Tell me again: Why will Red Hat make a difference in top line revenue?

Red Hat will follow the normal pattern: $3 billion in attributed income, proudly announced in the 2019 yearly report dropping to $300 million in 2021 with results no longer publicly disclosed. Zero layoffs in year one to a 25% staff reduction in year 3. In 2023, the rotting remnants will be reborn as "IBM Cloud Unix". We have all seen this movie before.

Really well put by @XefPIyl-1dfv.
