Surprised this has taken this long it's sad for the people who have been supposedly restructured IE made redundant after years of loyal service and also the people left who don't know what's going to happen next. The person who has steered this car crash is still in charge ,most organisations would have ousted her years ago and had a chance of surviving ,hope it still does maybe with somebody fresh at the helm

The native language of OP is not English. Mine isn’t too. But OP has a point. My organization, designated as an “innovation” group, stifles all creative thinking that doesn’t come from leadership, largely 50+ aged Indian men who haven’t done any IT certification or training in decades. I am demotivated and demoralized constantly as my ideas aren’t even considered, even when I had a VP of a large account supporting me on an idea I proposed. So I stopped contributing after I noticed this trend. If I play the “good soldier” for their irrelevant ideas, I get a 1.5% pay rise vs a 0% pay rise. It’s an immaterial price to pay to have more respect and opportunities internally. Someday soon I’ll leave and more than make up for the 5%/-2% adjusted pay rise I would have received.

One can never be over-pied.

I used to be a headcout (with many-many head couties, lice, and fleas, to boot) AND an overpied non-innovated employee AT THE SAME TIME, which I considered to be QUITE an accomplice, butt then I got liced off instead of getting premonitions.

It just shows ta go ya, innovated and articulated doesn't help mulch! Go with being a synthetic-aperture apparatchik-arachnoid instead, and you will ghoul places!

The original poster is correct - I had to leave IBM due to the excessive number of pies we were forced to consume. I now work for Greggs the bakers and although still slightly over-pied, am much happier given the non-matrix management structure and career progression opportunities.
