Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The e-commerce sales result and the supply chain could dictate which clubs close

First of all, I want to say that I have no info on this, haven't even heard a rumor regarding this and this just some of my logic talking. We’ve witnessed that it’s not impossible for a club to close and then be turned into a distribution center for online sales. As e-commerce grows, and within the efforts to provide an on-time delivery the company may face some weaknesses in the supply chain, as it’s not developed to a level as high as the one for brick and mortar stores. The company may react to that by closing even more clubs and turning them into distribution centers. Maybe this is nothing that will hit as now, but I feel it’s one more than to be worried about in the long run.
