Even though its tough on those who have lost their jobs, it would be cool if this actually worked, turning this behemoth around and actually posting a profit. Maybe the money made by selling the brands and property can be used to upgrade the stores and the shopping experience, in the "good" stores that are left. We'll see if being beholden to shareholders was a thorn in Lampert's strategy.

With a clean sheet from Sears’ old legacy costs and a salient to be announced strategy to actually build and invest in Sears again - it could actually work. Retailing is not dead. Old strategies are.
