This is a total joke. It does not take 46 seconds to sign up a member. There so many things u have to go thru to sign up a member. Also doing refunds on the iPads is a joke too.

Who ever came up with this concept of being faster at the membership desk not.

What's does everybody else think of the newiPads

The only thing that irks me is trying to get the tablet to take the driver's license. Most won't scan and I end up one finger typing everything in. I type 60 words a minute on a keyboard and it's irritating to hunt and peck. I turned the tablet around and had the member do it. It's their info. They don't need us at the desk. All they need to do is give the apps understandable names. Like "Returns" instead of "Beta" and "New Membership, " and/or "Look up Membership"instead of "Express."

Changes can be made in my productivity......Coaches sign in ......in the part where outside sales use.

We figured it out on our own. I miss the communication we used to have.

I feel like it's a joke too, it makes us look like a joke theres no direction on those things. Just a quick setup and here you figure out how to wrk it. I'm just curious on how it's supposed to wrk when Webmtracks goes away are we no longer gonna do receipt look up or are we using the Express return no clarity on anything. I like the fact that it's faster and simple but what about the other stuff like being able to fix the membership if theres an issue as far as over riding.

I was told by someone at HO,the refund express is not to be used,and we were to stop using it. It was giving a members back more than they had paid ,this was because it figured tax before instant saving was taken off!

Also paperless credit apps,but was told today apps needed to be filled out.. this is not what I read in week 51 0r 52.

It's just very frustrating.........communication from higher up who have dealt with these issues.There needs to have a conference call for those of us who deal with it daily.

It would have been nice if someone, anyone, would have told us how to use the iPads, instead of, "here you go, you're smart, you'll figure it out." We did, but the amount of frustration, trying to wait on members and not know what we were doing was ridiculous. We're still unsure about how to look up an old receipt. A member, wanted a copy of a mattress receipt. She bought it six months ago. I could have done it blindfolded on the old computers. No one could help us. We never did figure it out. Told her to come back later. I wish people would stop changing things.

I think the iPads are the first step of eliminating desk personal.

We start using our iPads tomorrow. So far we think they are neat. Our concern is how long will they hold up. I guess time will tell.

Even if we can't scan the ID in TX (but I think this is hopefully temp because I used an app the other day to scan in my DL so it's not a TX thing but probably the program isn't secure enough) it still runs smoother than the desktops. And if take more than a couple mins to create a membership then the desk is not for you. Sure some functionality needs to be added with manager screen, purchase history (but members can do that online), and direct accounts being able to add the add-ons in system for synchrony. Credit apps are smooth and paperless now. But overall it's a positive move and I really like it.

Express Returns, direction doesn't say to not use it, and certain aspects of it are great. Being able to issue e and plastic GC should be an option outside of card. They should allow cash also by printing a barcode that carries over a suspended return. Exchanges should be added and online returns should be added.

They should take every junk program they have and turn it into an app that runs on an iPad.

But nonetheless even if you do not like change you should accept it. Huge investment by HO. iPads are not cheap. Plus Mtracks s---ed. It was a absolutely terrible and outdated system. Good riddance.

I think the iPad is pretty easy. Unfortunately, my state (NJ) does not allow scanning of IDs, so it does not take 46 seconds, but its still a bit more user friendly.

I really like the ability to print temporary cards too. Some functionality is not there yet, such as adding add-ons to a membership (can add complementary cards though).

Refined express is not be used. It's pilot app. TAX % IS not figured correct.

I’m not sure about the issues you’re having. I don’t think it takes longer than maybe two minutes to do a membership, especially scanning the ID’s. I have only used the refund thing once, but I liked that it had all the products already there, even online.
