anyone have their teams restructured? Looks to me to be a plan to consolidate people and remove others.

The ping pong/ food ballers have got to go. These MFs have the nerve to schedule ping pong tournaments during working hours. Screw those guys
Trolls here are just trying to piss people off. Remember- we are all in the same boat here. Let's do everything we can to make working for GM as good as possible for one another- no reason to be at each other's throats when it's management who's holding the whip.
QA/BA get paid less base salary than devs of the same level and all the people who play ping pong are devs.
@Xhz4vMu-1lou You probably don’t want to start playing the “who works more” game. If you think the average dev delivers more than the average QA/BA you must live in a bubble. It’s hugely variable and dependent on many factors- but you often have a single QA to every 5-10 devs, and a single BA to 15-30 devs & QA & business. People who have the deliverables of 5-10 other people flowing through them (QA) or who are a singular choke point for an entire team (BA) by no means have it easy. Technical expertise is not the be all end all, and there are plenty of devs with a hell of a lot of downtime.
That’s what happens when you pay QA/BA/RA the same as devs
I’m on the 1st floor you can hear those ping ponging jack holes all day long
@Xhz4vMu-zgw but there are no desks next to the ping pong tables...................and if you cant see them how do you know theyre the same people..........................
There are people who play ping pong all day in Austin, too.
@Xhz4vMu-mum I can hear them from my desk....
@Xhz4vMu-mum how would you possibly know they're down there unless you're in the break room right next to them...
I hope they put all of the clowns who have time to play ping pong and Foosball all day everyday in Chandler on one team and then cut them...
I was told today they are looking at salary first. From there, if they need to free up space they will start cutting based on salary/performance. Small teams are probably safe regardless of these two things.
Our manager told us today that we weren't getting layoffs, but we were restructuring after they do happen. They are calling it phase 1 and phase 2.
Not yet, but it is planned for after the layoff happens.
I know all organizations are restructuring but only the very highest levels have been announced. I am sure they are waiting until after layoffs to rollout.
