I had very little faith in niblock and MUCH MUCH less in Marvin! There was a time when I cared about doing a great job and fulfilling expectations. I can assure you that is no longer the case. Marvin has proved time and time again that he will do anything necessary to turn us into a Home Depot clone. The lives ruined in his path do not matter as long as it looks good on paper (and he gets those box seats at NFL games). I do the bare minimum as everyone else in the stores has learned to do.
So in closing Marvin, keep hiring your Home Depot lackies. Keep spewing your podcast propaganda as if it’s really fooling anyone. Keep cutting positions and then bragging about multi million dollar NFL sponsorships. Reality check: One good employee is worth far more than your ridiculous tv commercials. People don’t come to Lowes because they saw an ad on tv... this isn’t the 70’s. People come to Lowes for knowledgeable, friendly, and engaged employees.
Marvin and his corporate entourage don’t understand what is happening in the stores. What they see during their visits is weeks of prepping and employees in their best behavior. Once you leave, it’s back to the normally scheduled dumpster fire.
