Clubs WILL be closing, do not listen to the people telling you all to relax becuase they know nothing! PTC will be gone in April. Marketing going away with no severance starting early August of this year. "Cashierless" program will roll out in July. Block scheduling for all clubs will start late spring/early summer. 3rd party optical and pharmacy will begin this summer. No more Sam's share. Departmental incentives will be the new replacement.

When a position is eliminated, if you go to a lower paid position, you do not keep your current pay. They changed that some time before eliminating Connections Center associate position.
When a position is eliminated your pay stays the same, unless you go into a higher pay grade, at which you would receive a 5% or 10% increase depending on the grade level. If you move into a lower paygrade, then your pay will stay the same unless your are above the maximum in pay of the pay grade you are moving into. For example, as a PTC my pay will not go down if I move into a lower grade level because my pay is not at the maximum amount I can make. Search Non-Exempt Field Hourly Pay on the WIRE for more info.
If they do away with a positive, severance package is offered. If the get rid of MTL in August a package it is unless you take a different role in club.
Isn't marketing and membership 2 different job codes ? And if your secondary job coded in these, does that mean they can move you without eliminating one, hence not having to offer severance ? What about MTL ?
