Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The Kool-aid Is Bad

The kool-aid has gone sour! Employees dictate what they do or don't have to do in their roles. As soon as you hold them accountable, they cry to HR, HR does an investigation, and finds something you did "wrong", something that every leader is doing, but they make an example out of you, and before you know it...youre on the chopping block.

And all this "forcing culture" down our throats, from leaders who don't know $hit about listening to people, and actually making changes that help people, is making me sick. All these fin managers and their cotton candy buttf contests. What happened to doing your job because you believed in the company? Appreciated the benefits and pay? But good call on pumping millions of dollars into a BS training, flying in people from all over the country, during ZBB, just so the training team can have a glimmer of relevance, when every other company is transitioning to digital and cloud content.

5G is just the 5th generation of them bending us over a barrel and pushing our $hit in.

Really looking forward to my next UMatter conversation. Verizon is F***ED!

Get rid of the worthless, fake, airhead, s-xist Michelle Miller, and let the Directors work with a real leader.

And for all you HQ taint stains reading this, listen and trust the DMs and GMs. They are who will save this market.

So you're whining and have regular meetings and reviews? That's hilarious, haven't seen any sort of real review in > 15 years. Management at most levels has no interest in even trying.

I helped create the credo you self absorbed dips hits. I'm off today and am focused on getting my team paid for 10 hours straight 6 days a week. I have believed in the company while you were still whining about finals.

I have promoted nearly 15 people through a proven collaborative plan for my multiple teams. Targeting people to fire them is wrong. Firing people is leadership failure, and any leader should be accountable to that.

I'm talking about the generalization of BS strategy and personal attacks from leadership to all teams including districts.

Perhaps instead of trying to “punish” and terminate people you should do what Verizon has promoted and paid you to do which is to lead.

Verizon invests considerable money and resources to teach managers to be leaders. All too often I see lazy managers who believe they were the greatest sales reps ever to grace wireless. And since they sold so much 10 years ago their subordinates s--- compared to their so called glory days.

Remember “leaders” the easy way is to be negative and try to terminate. Sitting in the back refreshing the numbers does not a leader make. The hard way is to teach and lead by example. Be present on the floor and team sale to teach.
