Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

What's the latest on more layoffs?

I'm getting worried with so little information available.

Well, I guess since the datacenters are about to be outsourced their locations will be secret again.

There is no warm, dark place for the employees impacted. Guess what.. they’ll Soon be non-employees free to share their knowledge. The severance package s-cks and new policies have little to know protection for sharing this type of knowledge.

If you want to be be frustrated with someone; communicate with the highly paid executives of the company who don’t really care.

Incredible! Eliminating quality for trash service outsourcing people oversees! What a strategy? Just like the strategy they pulled off by “not generating revenue” but darn outsmarting in cut offs!!! This is printer company and instead of focusing on cutting engineers they should go with their outsourcing manager that pulls off guaranteeing reliable employee performances which obviously they lack and are not required as actual it engineers are una Printer Technology company! Of course! Let’s leave it to people who don’t know anything about tech and rely on under qualified employed to do the job! Seems it has been working just fine for them.

Building 300 in Webster is where the servers are located and it is being cleaned out. I think it's been leased to an outside company or at least lease negotiations are currently in process. Wilsonville is the backup data center, so makes sense that it would be closed if B300 is.

Just got word from reliable source that Wilsonville and Webster data centers are closing and all IT staff will be employed by an outsourcing firm. Eventually, those jobs will be off-shored or entirely eliminated.
