Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

TMG's fate is sealed

Qcom, AMD, Nvidia, Apple (and pretty much everybody else's) design engineers are working on 5nm designs as we speak. In the meantime, Intel designers are held back by TMG's inability to deliver even 10nm. The willful abandonment of a regular tick-tock cadence, in addition to 10nm clusterphuck sealed TMG's and possibly Intel's fate. Only real option seems to move all or most designs to TSMC.

But have faith, Murthy was assigned to save 10no a while ago. His amazing device physics background will yield results.

Smaller node feature means more powerful yet lower energy consumption plus cheaper. TMG's lag behind let companies like Qualcomm to enter high end PC market.

Think about the Canon and Ice designs, thousands of engineers and intel’s lead architects who spent millions of man hours, one generation of the product never to see the light of day, the second is two years later.

If TMG was honest the product teams would have done designs on 14nm earlier, but you all know what happened.

No what is product to do, believe 10nm really is coming this year, TMG said it before a few times, what about 7nm.

Once here this proverb Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me, how many times fooled now?

TSMC delivers because if they don’t they don’t have customers, LTD arrogance and lack of transparency and honesty has made a fool of intel
