My new DL has been telling all the PMs that they're hiring new pharmacy graduate interns at 20% less pay than what they're making. A few PMs feel like they're going to be let go because he's telling everyone. Dumb if you ask me.

I was at my CVS pharmacy yesterday and ALL the pharmacy technicians left the store. The pharmacist said they had such a cut in wages that it affected him too. He said his hours have been cut . He was working alone on such a busy day. He said the company doesn't care about its employees. Now he has to hire new people, train them, fill scripts, answer the phone....all very stressful. People at pharmacy for scripts are furious that they have to wait half an hour so the pharmacist can have lunch. Pharmacist said the company is greedy. There is no way the pharmacy can help customers and do all that is expected of them. I said company better wise up cause people will leave and go to Walgreens.

The real question is when might these things become reality? I know some stores have been hit hard with cuts but not all stores. When will ALL stores feel the pain? On a related note I heard 2 interesting things, one that store managers would be upped to 55 hours a week? Hasn’t happened with new February schedules yet, so is this true or just another “layoff site rumor”? And I heard someone talking about wait till March. Something going down or just more rumors gone wild? We keep hearing about these cuts but still nothing by us yet. I agree with the news and the 780 million in cuts but still nothing as of yet.

Dude go look it up- it amazes me of the lack of intelligence this board has, this cost savings was promised 3 years ago and is now in year 3. Why do you think that things have gotten so tight and yet the stock still falls? We hit 112 now 63, hmm ? Now with the 70 billion in debt we added by buyout of Aetna , more cuts have to be made. The 780 million has been in the news look it up and stop being lazy. FACT!!

In what way? I ask because I work at the store level, as a shift supervisor, and I’ve read about all these crazy hours cuts, and while there are stores in my district with really tight hours, my store is still good with hours. So when is/are these things gonna hit good stores? Our store does great business, so I am pretty sure we’re a high volume store. I haven’t seen any cuts coming for high volume stores, so when might they be hit too? Or are there other things coming, not just hours cuts?
