I started in the smit program December promoted within after working 6 years in ny being paid 21$ an hour now but I found out an external hire smit is making 24 with way less experience what is the actual rate for smit and what are the rates for store managers (if I make it that far) so I don't get cheesed? Glass door said 21 was on the upper end so what's with this?

DL said only reason for smits is to cover vacations this year ... cause no hours means no staff left when a manager or shift takes vac 38
SMIT pay in my area is 17.50-23. Most of the ones I’ve had are never over $19. I’m in VA
SMIT anywhere from 21-30. Lowest salary for an sm in my district 50k which I think is the minimum for an exempt manager. Higest paid SM makes 84k in my district. Most around 60-72k. DL 120k non licenced, DL licenced 150k. NY market. I came in as an external hire at 28, now at 31/ 72,500 salary been with cvs 3 yrs
Smits that are internal only get paid a higher rate if the tsm or dL like you. I work in so cal so our rates would be comparable. External smits got offered minimum $24 an hour. Internal varied. I knew one that was making $18 and one that was buddies with a tsm got 25.50. Then another that made 21. It’s all about who you know. As a starting manager in ny you should be making at least 28. I would ask for $30 so have some wiggle room.

I made 18 as an SMIT 23 and some change now as SM. When you get offered a store, tell them you want 25 or 26. I wish I had.
