Judging by what ‘ve seen and heard this is going to be a turbulent year, as the majority of changes are going to be made to align the company with the 2020 plan. I get that the company needs to change, but they could have, at least, given us a general frame ow what other changes need to be done, how many people will be let go and by what time is this going to be over. Well, that’s not gonna happen so I guess we are looking at a very stressful 2019.

For mechanical the confirmed number is min 400 across all shops. Tough time brothers
Unfortunately, this is the "new normal."
It’s work force and money and locomotives
I really don’t think they know. Just getting to the number of locos they want and the number of people neede to support that before the profits start decreasing. It’s all about the profit margin and that is the only focus they have.
Was Colton California mechanical department 26 electricians 26 machine as 5M So's February 5th will be laid off
I totally agree with you. They could at least be transparent with the number of employees that are going to be affected in each department. I’m sick of being on a yo-yo in regards to this job and layoffs. It’s stressful and I definitely wouldn’t advice anyone to come and work for Union Pacifc when asked.
