General Motor Track program will be developing future executive.
I have a family member who just moved to Michigan on a TRACK program. It seems a shame for GM to layoff brand new folks they just hired to take the company into the future. Most of the TRACK members are cream of the crop at their respective colleges. My family member was magna cum laude and part of a major car design program in college.
TRACK is name of the rotation program that college new hires are put into (approx. 6 month rotations for maybe 2 years). Supposed to be all college new hires, but some find a way to opt out. Its intended to give new hires a chance to get a broader view of the company before locking into a job role longer term, be more well rounded employees, etc. Its not a special fast lane to promotions or higher levels. Ask me how I know.

Nope, track is a program for new college hires that lasts 2 years I think. It is either a rotational program or now there is "straight track" which is just a normal role but you're considered a track engineer.
Employees ( mostly young ) who work hard or maybe talk to much how good they are ,get choose by director to be on track you cansay get very fast from level 5 to level 8 or 9 or maybe higher
