I cannot believe a company would train and spend so much money and then let go multiple NCH from 5 months to a year.. what a complete and tragic mismanagement of the company.. this will be great for the future of mine and my peers careers.. at least we got to keep relocation and a decent pay day.

I got a 7% increase and was a top performer NCH and still got let go. Nothing to do with anything Performance but everything with age and $$$
The NCHs that got axed weee the non-performers. Sorry to hurt your feelings folks but this is the professional world and everyone does t get a trophy here you are not as special as you thought you were. To the poster crying to your university career services department. What do you expect them to do? Are they going to come and bully companies who let their precious inept litte babies go? You snow flakes are the direct result of lawn mower parents and participation trophies. S--- it up butter cups and learn your craft

They have to fire NCH Vikas to bring down the average age of employees that are being fired. When it comes to massive layoffs like this it doesn’t matter the story behind the higher it’s all a numbers game. Done
THE WORST PART WAS when I carefully asked if it was an age thing and the HR person tells me indirectly that no new hires should be let go based on performance or anything other than they needed younger kids to be let go... if I were to have joined a little later I would have been more than fine... no one under 4 months on the paper I got fired. This is the worst experience I have had with dealing with a company. Will never buy a GM car ever again.
I’m a NCH and if I get laid off I will make my university’s career program well aware of how I was treated. Moved 800 miles from my whole family and then laid off after less than a year. I wouldn’t even get serverance so I have nothing to lose with that.
Wow. The schools that GM hired those people from must be so upset with them.
employees spent whole day standing in their cubes and waiting for the skype message. All level were affected here in Atlanta. Tomorrow we are expecting another tense and sad day.
It was a random selection.. A lot of NCH got layoff too. What was the point to relocate people from other states then give then layoff???
New College Hires. If they were spared, and veterans alone axed, GM would be set-up as defendant in age discrimination lawsuit. It had to be shown it was "all demographics", even though we all know it's not.
