OK it's Super Bowl Sunday 2019 and GM is laying off a ton of people to try to get the share price up over the humpity. We had plenty of notice but it still hurts bad.

Yes, it was because of investor demand. She has been very transparent on this.

It's funny how the article mentions that price needs to be higher within four years or so. She doesn't have that long. Mark my words, the Dow WILL fail for the third time before that time frame, and drag every blue chip down with it. Not only will you be buying GM for single digit values, it'll take much longer than 2009 before the market bounces back. You don't have to believe it, only know it is plausible for when it does occur.

I suppose when that happens, they'll lay everyone else off, that is not yet laid off. May you live in interesting times.
