They did not discuss. However, March 1st will make 6 years for me, so I will get 3 months severance pay.

MIne pretty much went the same, cept for the IM. Mine was an elaborate meeting ruse. Having a beer and a shot myself.

When I received the IM, I brought everything with me. I did also take a bottle of water they offered.

That's the attitude buddy! I am in the same boat and frankly glad it happened first thing in the morning, so I can take the rest of the day to focus on next steps. None of us are useless, we still learnt a lot and still have much to offer to other potential employers, don't give up hope!
