Great point. FiOS never got to Houston. And it never will. But they have 5G there now.
Fios was never in Houston. It was in Dallas you d u m m y.
Not really. The cost is high for all the s-ton of nodes they will have to put up. And the fiber to run. But it won't require VZ to be a landline carrier in the area. And that legacy landline costs a huge amount of $$ to run. 5G home stuff can be offered anywhere they want to put up towers. Note that they launched 5G in Houston, where they used to offer FiOS before they sold all of that off to Frontier.
