I always knew Lowe's did not value it's employees and especially it's sales specialists. But after seeing how Lowe's is jerking it's sales specialists around and may only schedule work a few hours one day and then ten hours for several days, etc. I know for sure that whoever did this has no idea what a job at Lowe's is like much less a specialist job. Maybe all stores aren't the same but in mine appliance sales specialists have to load appliances and pull deliveries and do heavy bull work plus sell. This loading and pulling of deliveries isn't with help either. We are loading heavy refrigerators and appliances by ourselves into customer cars because there isn't anyone to help. We are getting injured and having to have surgeries, etc., yet we are still expected to do this work by ourselves. It is hard to get through eight hours some days because we are exhausted. How are we going to get through several ten hour shifts and then four hour close shifts, etc. People are going to get hurt more often, call out, kick the bucket on the floor, etc. These things have happened and much more often than it should but does Lowe's ever change for the better? Lowe's is trying to run out full time people to back fill with part timers but they never learn part timers just do not care about Lowe's or sales. Lowe's is making decisions that will further hurt their sales. It just does not make sense that the management can be so blinded to what is and isn't needed in these stores and/or how to treat employees who are the bread and butter in the stores. Throwing in extra "management/supervisors" to bark orders does not help when employees are being abused by a crazy schedule and unreasonable demands from short staff. You can yell all you want but we can only do so much and this is going to break us physically, mentally and break the stores financially.
Wake up and please learn what is really wrong in the stores rather than throwing extra layers of management in the mix. Get rid of this stupid slave driving, inconsiderate, cruel scheduling system before you further kill more employees and I mean literally not figuratively. You let full time CSA's choose their work shifts based on seniority, you give gravy hours to part timers and you do not give any perks to sales specialists. No monthly weekend off, no normal 8 hour work shifts, no choice on shift based on seniority but you just expect us to be available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. even if this means we work six days straight with some of them only a few hours daily. It makes no sense to mistreat the specialists who earn the most money for the store . Thanks for nothing.
