I completely agree that there's not much in the software pipeline (unless it's under wraps at PARC with the threat of double-secret probation if divulged). I just think that's the "plan" to try and keep revenue flat rather than continuing to decline. Whether it will succeed is another matter.

I've seen the executive team tout DocuShare as something they can leverage for more software sales, but I have to wonder if they're comatose. We abandoned DocuShare internally in favor of SharePoint because it's a much better product. And XMPie? It might have had value back in the early 2000s when it was new, but there are much better (and proven, and well known) alternatives available now.

As a wise man once said, "Don't listen to what they're saying. Watch what they're doing"

They aren't building a software and solutions powerhouse. All they are doing is reorganizing groups to fit what the industry does. The new Digital and Healthcare orgs? HP and IBM have had similar groups for years. That's not something you do to build a powerhouse. That's just something you do to stay relevant.

The project Own It initiatives I've seen are all about reducing expenses. No "new and exciting" stuff. Just finding ways to cut costs while still meeting objectives. Don't get me wrong, the ones I've seen are worth doing, but they are just generic process improvement projects. Nothing that will save the company millions of dollars.

I want this company to succeed and win. But show me something with substance because I'm not falling for the shallow hype of "technology powerhouse" and Vader.

Why did you abandon the collection and reporting of CSMS data, and why don’t we care about contacting detractors anymore? Is this passive aknowledgement that we are a bottom-tier provider?

In terms of increasing revenue from software sales, are you kidding me? What new software have we developed in the last 24 months, and how is it sold, integrated and who stands it up on premise for the customer? Exactly. This is an illusion. We are done

My assumption is that hardware revenue will continue to decline but they are planning on software/solutions revenue to go up to offset that decline.

I was wondering that myself. The industry is shrinking every year. So how is revenue going to remain flat for 3 years straight?

All fantastic questions. Perhaps they should be sent to the investment analyst community?

I might add another

What is the company strategy to flatten revenue decline? I didn’t hear anything that would achieve that in the 4 hour session.

Why are your HR people gaming Glass Door? Is it that bad there?
