Take the services offered to you from GM to help in finding a job. Use LinkedIn and of course Dice and Indeed. The job market in Phoenix is good now. You will be re- employed in no time. Good luck to you
The Home Depot on Chandler and Alma school is hiring
Honeywell always hire. They have quarterly layoffs though.
Check out Fender as well, it'd be fun to work there.

Seriously, there are a load of companies out there. Open your eyes. Microchip is probably one of your best bets, GoDaddy, Freescale, On Semiconductor, Texas Instruments...if you're young, you should get in easily. It's once you turn 40 that you're screwed. You must be new to the game.....you'll get a job within a month.
