Safety, like anything else, is a consideration toward the bottom line; nothing else.
I hear people say if they find out there job is getting cut they’ll cash in on an injury. It’s a culture problem. Plain and simple do your job 8 hours do it safely and efficiently or find another line of work.
CSX has to bring in an outside firm to review safety. I think we are in line for the same. Not like our internal safety department does any real work.
