It is the full-timers that are not management who are the hardest workers in Lowe's and especially many of the sales specialists. Appliances are the highest earning products in the stores so if he cuts appliances then he is guaranteeing additional failure and store closings. Dumb move but I wouldn't put it past the so-called leadership that only follows.

First of all, the post was written in a stream of other information and it was reposted by someone and taken out of context. Secondly, this is talking about daily sales volume not overall expenses in the store which a sales specialist would not be privy to. Appliances are often a majority of daily sales in our store as well. Also, our sales specialists do not just walk away when there are issues. It is the management who sits around with their thumbs up their asses here. We are stuck dealing with all the customer issues, pulling deliveries, loading appliances, contacting customers, etc. It is you who does not know what this poster was talking about Marvin

What are you basing this on? Do you have any actual data that says you are bringing in the most money? How far do you think that 10% margin on a sale washer and dryer goes to cover the delivery, transit between DC and store, storage space in a DC, etc? You really have no idea what you’re talking about. Appliances are profitable, but no more profitable than other areas of the store. Plus, once the sale is over the specialist gets to walk away and play dumb. It’s the AAMs that then have to fix all the problems you and delivery leave in your wake. Typical Specialist. Always grouping up and b--ching about how the store would burn down without them, while they sip their coffe from the Pro desk.
