Just curious, but Lowes provides tuition reinbersment. So how is someone supposed to attend school and not have a set schedule? This makes no sense at all. I guess I'll have to provide my professors with this info. Lmao

Wow. Hundred of thousands of people get online degrees but the Harvard MBA’s on here want to say those aren’t degrees?? Amazing. I hope Lowe’s drives everyone of the bad attitude complainers out and replaces you all with people that want to work and don’t feel entitled.
What if I told you you could take online courses from your local brick and mortar university? What a bunch of cry babies. Online education is a proven alternative for working adults. Be happy the company provides any tuition reimbursement at all. They don't have to. They certainly don't have to pay for your school AND work around YOUR schedule. You need to figure it out. That online degree or one from a B&M you took online courses at, will be worth a lot more in an interview than giving a sob story about how you always wanted to go to college but didn't.

There is some corporate person with a bad attitude that keeps belittling people, knocking specialists, saying how great part timers are and how worthless full timers are, knocking someone for trying to better themselves by getting a degree at a real school instead of online. Now I understand why so many poor decisions are being made because you corporate spies got your degrees online......I mean paid for fake degrees online. Wow. People have real concerns here and you are trying to knock them down and act like something is wrong with them or their feelings. Your lack of sensitivity , obvious disdain for people/employees and no clue about what is going on in stores, etc., means you are either corporate or in Lowe's management ranks. You are a prime example of behavior/mentality that is wrong with Lowe's.

Worthless. Sure you put time in on the internet and copying papers from online sources, but all you did was learn to cheat and impress yourself.
There's this magical thing they started about 15 years ago. It's called online classes. That's how you work full time and go to school. I did it for my bachelors and currently working full time while getting my MBA. Quit looking to be a victim, and find ways around obstacles.
I am curious if there are other older specialists who are getting four hour shifts and then longer shifts to cram the hours in? Everyone else has normal shifts but the older guy so far. Is this a way Lowe's is discriminating? Does the software have capability for Lowe's to put in criteria to target certain age employees to try to force them to quit. This older dude is a great guy and often is in the top 25 for sales but it seems very fishy that both weeks in the new schedule he is getting the shaft and he is the only one. I am OK with mine because I have gotten two days off for those two weeks despite getting a lot of closes. Watch and see because it doesn't look right. I hate for people to get screwed that don't deserve it and sounds like discrimination to me.
I’m just glad the job market is the best it’s been in years. I’ve already started looking elsewhere.

This new scheduling system will cause anyone with intelligence to leave Lowe’s immediately. It’s a dictatorship mentality to expect people to work and live with a schedule as has been suggested.
Bill Edwards all but threatened store managers not to change the schedule to accommodate an employee during his speech at Vegas! Managers at our store already act like they’re scared to death to make a change. Soon Ellison will have nothing left but P/T id--t”s.
