Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Larry Sone , Where are you now?

Lots of folks use this forum to vent , I get it. But when will the remaining faithful rise up and say enough of this corporate tear down. We have all invested parts of our lives to Lowe's only to see our hard work and dedication, mocked, belittled and go unappreciated. This bs started with Niblock in 2003. The widget counters became omnnichannel soothsayers and diversity bondage experts. They dabbled in management psychology and voodoo futurism. Their lilly white asses found it hard to visit their stores they were slowly destroying with cronyism, chaos and cross-purposed pie in the sky innovation. All optics and it was to sell a lie. They never valued the 13 core values of this company which always put its worker as its number one asset and priority. They had one objective, lets hitch to this stock market wunderkind and make s loads of money for ourselves. It wasn't long till the tap went dry. Follow the money. Lowes' has been hurting cash wise since they lost nearly a billion dollars in Australia with Masters. That's 1,000,000,000! So how you going to turn

an ex Home Depot executive, a guy who never felt the cash pinch until he arrived at Penny's, into

an overnite wiz kid. Shaw and their ilk play the up and down while Rome burns. And again I ask who will step in and finally support our values? P--pToast

It is the opposite in my store regarding the value of the employee. The customers don't want to research online so they come in or call and ask the questions.

Also was a ten year PSE. CPO and the piss poor treatment of psi and coordinators did it for me.

They want us out. Raising minimum margins, no pay raises in four damn years, taking away our support, new systems rolled out while new systems still in use, updates in four different systems, notes no one ever reads, using our commissions to pay for military and employee sales discounts.

I could deal with ASM in every case. It’s the jackbutt Market Director who turns my stomach. He asks for input and then crashes down on you without looking at you when you give it.

Honestly I cannot wait for my outbound survey to come.

I’m also going to email Marvin when my last check is final.

I worked 10 years for this company and along comes some punk a-- MSM who doesn't have a day of in home experience and starts barking like a dog about how to be a pse. well I didnt sign up for that and I shouldn't have to generate the leads sell the job order the material make sure the delivery goes out right and then when the hack installers screw it up fix the customers complaints. !0 years not one blemish on record. along comes new msm. and writes my up. ONE TIME TOO MANY FOR ME. Goodbye Lowes...Woke up happy every day since. Stress level non exist feeling good. that was 3 days ago. Some people should realize when they have a good employee not to f--- with them. Second older PSE in 3 months harassing. NEXT DONT WORK ON LONG ISLND NEW YORK FOR THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT

Marvin did mention in his opening speech at the Sales Managers Meeting in Las Vegas that he was talking with Bob Tillman, and looks forward to doing so again.

Niblock was a huge disappointment. He listened to the likes of Nelson B. Peace and other members of his team who had no experience other than manning a desk and being politicians. They were motivated by their bonus and not company success. A great company based on sound financial premises and solid family values was a shell of itself once Niblock and his cronies let the consultants makes the decisions. It was sad to watch the death of something you loved so much. They took their millions and went to take board seats. We went right back to work. They can have the money my friends...I’ll keep my integrity.

Spot on. We’ve all seen and can add to the usurpations committed by our new and old CEO.

All point to one solid bedrock undeniable truth.

They do not care about employees in our stores.

The view now?: customers research all things they buy and do not need a knowledgeable person to help them. Furthermore, our corporate community believes our main competitor is Amazon and everyone buys from us based on price alone.

With those beliefs, employees become an expense to be reduced like power and light.
