I don't bother reading Reuters for financial news anymore. I've been thoroughly unimpressed by the lack of news judgment, the lack of depth, and the lack of basic financial knowledge.

I don't think people mean that women means not qualified . I am a woman and I see lot of qualified women around that have been over looked and some put in positions they cannot handle . Being a woman I want equal opportunity not mercy in the name of diversity .I think putting people that cannot handle a role well in the name of diversity is not serving anyone well.

Why does everyone assume that an attempt to hire more minorities/women in the workforce (esp. in technology) automatically means they're unqualified? As a woman working in technology I can honestly say I've seen men get promoted above me for accomplishing less work and knowing less than me and having less experience. I also know my male co-workers were paid more for doing the same work and having the same level of experience. Just because you don't actually experience it firsthand doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I have to work twice as hard as my male co-workers to get the same reward. Talk about unfair...

I think a lot of comments here have been deleted.... specially the ones that were mentioning about gender discrimination.

It’s so annoying. Maybe there should be other platform that does not delete messages that meant something

Yes they are promoting diversity but it is sad to see unqualified people being put in positions they cannot handle that beats the very purpose of promoting diversity

TR does have a goal to hire and promote women and minorities. I wish such decisions were based on merit instead of diversity goals.

That part of the business certainly looks like it's full of clowns.

Business students should study Thomson's acquisition of Reuters as the worst corporate s---c-de ever.
