Rumor has it that the ops managers will be the first to be let go then soon after the side assistants . The company will save a ton of money by having just an sm and sups run the stores.

The rumor is true! OP’s is being let go or taken back to the floor at a reduced hourly rate if they want to keep a job. Bed Bath and Beyond doesn’t want them to stay. They can legally get rid of them by abolishing that position, magic no severance. Most SM’s will move that person into a different position to save them if he/she needs them, most SM’s have limit ability to do payroll, receiving, etc. keep in mind that ANY associate can be trained to do the process or it can be centralized. Again magic getting rid of a lot of big wages wasted on OP’s that has run a muck! BBB is running circles around you guys, most of you deserve it, bye.
Well they do have hourly “ops supervisors” now. 35-40 hours a week position.
How are they saving money by moving district staff to corporate or making them store managers. A corporate person who is disgusted told me that they have architects on staff who do nothing all day and walk around talking about how bored they are. Look to cut corporate positions. Their backwards thinking is what is killing them.
It’s funny that all the associates that were promoted to be a supervisor or key carrier in our area were all let’s say non-white. It’s a fact the ones promoted had attendance issues that were never addressed and covered up, that’s a fact! They used foul language on the floor in front of customers, took unauthorized breaks and just played the lazy game!
If you have any friends in HR at corporate then you wouldn’t be saying the rumors are not true. Wake up before the party is over. BBB is in so much financial trouble anyone that can’t recognize the trend needs their eyes checked and mak sure they have a functioning brain. Corporate has been sharp enough to fool all you guys, wake up!!

The rumor is true, OPs is going and we are so happy!! Our OPs is one untrustworthy, lying dog, she has shafted so many good employees that’s why we are glad. She would rather lie than tell the truth. It’s her turn and we are happy, Houston store AD before you ask, I’ve been with the company several years and have worked with her and now I’m at a different location where information is plentiful.
