Any receiving or claims associates out there that took severance? Did you file for unemployment also and when? Wondering how that works.

Same for Wisconsin. Applied right away we have a one week waiting period got unemployment the second week. Severance came the third week after signing agreement. Direct deposited on the company payday Thursday.

This was the State of Texas. I assume it depends on your state. I received my Severance within 3 weeks after I signed paperwork. I also applied for unemployment right away and started receiving it. Your Severance does not affect your unemployment. At least it doesn't in Texas. Hope this helps you.
