Have no info, haven’t heard any rumors, this is only my assumption given that they don’t have anything in the business that generates enough revenue to provide growth, not to mention that various segments of GM business are failing. What is your take on the possibility that another big wave of cuts and closures occurs any time soon?

I'm a 7a. They can include me in the next wave, around mid September, when the strikes begin
To 1dsd- yesssss fxxking Rediculous , it's a merger on the way or like you said a fire sale.
Yup, tech co. acquisitions and massive cuts of cost and old people. Primping.
Anyone remember the Fruehauf daddy built before the kids destroyed it? Same death spiral for the original company only fancier; all the perceived value in the acquisitions.
Talks may already be under way, with the demand that GM toss most of the original husk co. and prepare for its fire sale to a separate buyer, maybe to a golf cart company or a skateboard company.
Wouldn't want to be a dealer right now.
Thanks guys for the response , I agree , I bet it's China.
No existing car company would want GM.
Too much baggage, and they would already have their own plants and such.
So I don't think Honda is a possibility.
But China might want a ready turn key company.
And they already did something similar when they bought Volvo.
In my country we learned nothing is permanent. I would figure that we are getting ready for a merger. We were unattractive before as our legacy costs were high. But we have purchased much technology that other suitors wanted. This way the lipstick on the pig looks good. I work at the VEC and heard rumors of this for months.
And when does the Corvette plant close? Is that next too , good Lord.
Ok so then GM is being bought or mergeing ? By who Honda or the Chinese ?
I'm hearing Lansing Grand River to close end of next year.
My prediction? Mostly 7th level and below will be reduced, few 8th levels, zero directors.
