Us young guys wonder....when are we going to get cut. We look at the roster daily and continue to assume someone is going to come back from medical leave. In turn the low man gets furloughed. Or a foreman or foremen job gets abolished. So they return to tools. Then another gets cut. But then someone retires and the low man has a chance, again. The constant cycle of assuming. That's what we do. That's all we do. Hoping something good will happen.

If u r scared 😱 go 2 church ⛪.
That is why you leave before you have any more time vested with the railroad. This will never go away. It is not your parents or grandparents railroad anymore. Someone will always have more seniority than you, so if you want to play this game for the rest of your life by all means stay. But if you want a job where you can actually succeed because of the work you do then my advice to you is leave.
