Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Let’s just lay it out there!

Retailers are phasing out dsd! It’s been in the works for some time now! Mondelez senior management is well aware of this and have been making their own adjustments to accommodate a new warehouse distribution.

The rally meetings were held to try to keep

up (or simply make) moral higher while the transition goes on around us!

Management can say you are valued and can tell you how committed they are to dsd, but in the end, ultimately, it is the retailers that have made this decision.

No, we’re not too big.

Yes Mondelēz management will lie to you.

Who cares about your new car and phone, they are leased.

No, Kroger and WM are not investing millions in CAO to keep things the same.

Yes, dsd makes money but it’s not about how much money Mondelez makes, it is about how much retailers make. They have their own shareholders to answer to.

Did I already say management will lie to you, worth saying again.

All those red flags actually do mean something.....so pay careful attention!

I don't know how the rally meetings are trying to make moral higher. While they gave us more free stuff, the message wasn't as positive as last year. All it was, was to say "work harder in less time and oh, by the way, we have a list of more things you need to do in your limited time."

You’re sadly mistaken! WC will be a distribution center to feed retailers warehouses! Yes, that’s how long Mondelez has been preparing for warehouse distribution. You don’t honestly think that the current model is dad friendly do you? Shuttling drivers 4-5 hours? Wow!! Since the hope was to have someone purchase Mondelez they’ve worked to set up the warehouse model because nobody would purchase Mondelez without that! Unfortunately warren Buffett said no thanks!

WalMart and Kroger do indeed call the shots! They are indeed choosing to phase out dsd and have been planning this for years!

Your new phone means nothing! It’s leased. There will still be people working for Mondelez when dsd ends, lots of other roles.

Up to you to when you want to face reality, sounds like you are not quite ready!

Retailers will never be able to phase out DSD. We're too big! Mondelez refused to pay the slotting fees. That's why we got a bigger facility in WC! We're all in on DSD. Also we're getting new trailers and new iPhones. When am I supposed to hit send again???

2020 is 9 months away. I’d buy that timeline. Doesn’t change my prediction that dsd is ending! They know when and that dsd is ending!

Won't happen this year. GS said no layoffs. 2020 Maybe but not this year. Sorry to burst your bubble!

Yeah, sorry! Business as usual is not actually a phrase you’d use in retail these days! Far from it! I guess if you knew anything about retail, read any type of retail forecasting, or maybe even opened your eyes, you’d see that phrase doesn’t apply to the retail evolution. Even our own GS has shared his own spin on this evolution. We are just at the beginning of a very evolving time in retail!

It is actully retailers decision to exit dsd. They pay for it so they get to decide and when the two largest retailers decide they won’t pay for dsd, well, that pretty much ends it! Keebler decided to exit on their own, early, but WM and Kroger phasing out dsd has been planned for 5 plus years now. It’s just sad that Mondelez doesn’t want to own it, they know and have too been planning on this warehouse change for a long time now.

Dsd makes Mondelez $ but since retailers foot the bill, they have some say so! It’s called free trade. Check it out!

Only conspiracy theory is the one Mondelez is working hard on to cover up the truth!!

Nah! Business as usual! DSD makes too much money to exit from! Keebler was their own choice. Retailers aren't forcing it. They value DSD and partner with us. We'll be here for years to come.

Do you think that they are hiring interns because they know when the announcement is made there will be a mass exodus??

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @2ayj+Y2oAhlC

Why would that matter? There are other positions in the organization beyond merchandising and sales reps! Although most interns have been very unhappy as they are treated like dirt! Had little to no exposure to anything beyond throwing cases! Learned nothing!!

Even without dsd they will hire interns! Not saying that dad will end by summer but saying that there is no connection.

I’m not sure that has any bearings? Product going pack 6 from pack 12 does! Less backstock and less to pay to retailers for slotting fees. Keebler product went pack 6 before their exit.....just like we are!

Yet another red flag I noticed is that the new boxes of Belvita and triscuits do not have the red Nabisco label in the corner!!

Wonder why?!?!?!?!

Hostess hired Acosta! Their sales have sky rocketed since they left dsd! My GM told me they have tripled sales!

Kroger cannot handle Keebler? Guess that’s why they are having another flash sale this weekend? .99 cent club and townhouse. Pallet upon pallet, how hard is that? Keep working on excuses people! Dsd is ending either way!

Ain’t that the truth!!

Ask yourself if you found out that in a few months you were losing your job......

Would you still be motivated to work hard?

Would you perhaps start looking for a new job?

Would you take a new job if one were offered?

Would you feel any animosity towards Mondelez?

Now ask yourself why management would lie?

Ask yourself why some are wearing the “we are hiring buttons”?

Start to make better sense? Thought so!

Management knows the timeline of our departure from dsd, but they won’t share! They would rather hold rally meetings so HR can tell you how “valuable you are”!

Unimaginable that people can’t see through things!! If they really cared they would let you know what is coming so you could prepare yourself and your families!

There you have it!

Good luck! Advocate for yourself!!! No one from Mondelez will hold your hand!

Actually it’s really not! GS doesn’t often tell the truth! Ethics wouldn’t be considered one of his strong suits if you know what I mean! 😉 Ethics and morals get in the way of things for him.

GS told us no layoffs. He's good friends with GW and he said that we're committed to DSD. This is so confusing!! 😕

Yeah, um that’s not how that works! Kroger doesn’t own Hostess! Kroger didn’t hire Acosta, Hostess hired Acosta!

Companies hire brokers not the retailers! Acosta doesn’t work trucks! Grasping a straws people!! Dsd is ending!

by
| | Reply
Post ID: @1xoe+Y2oAhlC

Kroger didn’t outsource Hostess to Acosta! Kroger still merchandisers Hostess but Acosta is the in store rep. Where you around when we were owned by Kraft and we were wall to wall? We were the instore rep for a number of items but that didn’t mean we worked the delivery, far from it! We were responsible to make sure shippers were out, new times cut in, etc! Eventually a broker will rep us too!!

Hard to believe that even though Mondelez has been transitioning to warehouse for literally years, people are still in such denial! Clearly for some it’s too painful to realize what’s coming.

Just out of curiosity do you know how dsd is funded???? I’m guessing not! Do you know how retailers make money?

So by eliminating dsd they will pay a much lower cost for our products. Retailers pay for dsd you see by paying a higher price for products.

First of all by eliminating dsd they will get product for a lower cost, can lower their cost and stay competitive. Secondly, Mondelez will have to pay to go into their warehouse and pay a slotting fee.

Next time you are in your store, look at Pepsi, coke and Frito bs. Does yours look anything like theirs, probably not!

Frito reps are drivers and only have a couple of stores. Their reps know they will eventually have warehouse drops and they will only merchandise. Their retail model looks nothing like ours.

Coke and Pepsi strictly have too much volume, don’t even try to compare!

Mondelez and Keebler shared the exact same retail model! Exact!! Keebler ended dsd ahead of retailers time line. They were fine with it as transitioning one organization at a time makes sense!

Dsd will soon end for Mondelez! Quit fooling yourselves! To say we are set up differently than Keebler, that is simply false! Our retail models were the exactly the same, exactly!

If this were all false, why aren’t they removing these posts? They can if they can prove people are posting incorrect information!!

No conspiracy theory, sorry!! All real news!! Kroger and Wal Mart will soon be stocking Mondelez. May be a curve but they will adjust. 95% of Kroger and Wal Mart are warehouse now, quit trying to convince yourself they cannot handle Mondelez! That’s plain dumb!

So your conspiracy theory just has big box retailers getting rid of Keebler and Nabisco😆😆😆 Frito and pop vendors will still be DSD in your theory. How is that going to save big retailers money??? Kellogg's left because the writing was on the wall. We outsell them on everything but cheeze it's. They couldn't compete with us so they opted out of DSD. Kroger can't even handle hostess as they outsourced that to Acosta. DSD will be here for years to come. As for Jyve, I don't see them working Nabisco products. They are helping serve u. That's all! You'll see!!

You are just wrong!! Sorry!!! It was Keebler’s choice to leave dsd, AT THAT TIME!!! They exited knowing dsd was ending because retailers were phasing it out! Coke, Pepsi, and Frito are set up differently!

We are far from too big, sorry? Jyve started this week for Meijer to help serve u.

Truth s---s, huh?

Kellogg's is the only vendor to leave DSD and that was their choice. Mondelez is setup different. We have more power brands that the consumer is looking for. Walmart and Kroger can't keep their own products full. They won't have time to take care of Nabisco or any other vendors. They have Acosta doing hostess now in Kroger because they don't have time to take care of it. Your conspiracy theory is what they call Fake News!! No layoffs! DSD isn't going away for us or Frito or pop vendors or any other vendors. Sorry to squash your conspiracy theory 😄

So obvious! 3-5 years is laughable!! It won’t be long at all! People are really gonna feel stupid for believing management! Management won’t care about them, they only care about Mondelez and you won’t be a part of it!

Keebler had the benefit of the element of surprise, Mondelez does not! Going to great lengths to keep things flowing.....soon it will be impossible!

If none of this was true, see if they remove this post!
