Accounting...BE PREPARED!

I don't know if any other accounting associates were told --- our CM held meetings throughout the day and went through the changes that are coming.

One of changes is that in May, the cash recycler will be communicating with Smart in essence eliminating a human of having a human input the information. They also said SMART is going away. I would consider this the WARNING that this department will be eliminated sooner rather than later.

My club manager also told me the machine will communicate with Smart which they should have done from the beginning if they spent all that money for those POS sorry that’s how I feel hurry up and offer my servance we will be just as Walmart we seem to follow all they do they eliminated there cash office which was part time and have CSM and management doing it there we will follow think about it folks they r doing new roll outs with the CFT updates and the new OPERATOR / REGISTER accountability they r simplify the process less work for Management!!! Hurry up I am ready 22 years a waste I just pray I get my servance offered again I was a fool to have turned it down and stay it will be a 3 rd of what I was offered before but I am ready our club has clueless managers and poor member service! Will accounting be offered a severance if we don’t want to stay ? I loved my job but it’s time to look for something else .

I’ve been in the accounting office for 7 years . Our club is very busy . I’m usually done in 3 hours then I help clean the break room and do other things around the club . I just wish we knew when our last day would be .

This is your opinion (which wasn't asked for) and no one is whining; just stating a fact. I work my 8-12 and sometimes longer. I do not "milk" my position either. I work in another area of the club and have been known to leave my post and help and/or work some of my hours elsewhere before my shift so don't group us all in one category. And FYI -- LOOSE is how your clothes can feel. LOSE is like lose your JOB (eye roll). It's not QUITE where I am at but QUIET (and how do you know what goes on in there if we are in there by ourselves with no one????).

I hate to see people loose their jobs, but really our accounting refuses to come out and help anyone. They milk it until 12 are later everyday. I don’t mean to be harsh but come on easy ride last few years. Who wouldn’t love 8-12 every day. Please don’t whine you’ve had over 2 years to look for another position. Was your choice to stay and sit while the rest of us worked. Have you ever been in a accounting office, it’s quite and no members.

I feel bad for you. I started 2 weeks before they rid of the TL and went to two PT'ers. I've known that Wal*Mart got rid of it. Our club was a test for ridding of the PTC and she warned me that our time was coming. I just didn't think it to be so soon. Good luck...

There isn't enough to do in 4 hours. I can already do it in 1.5 hours. 28 years will be down the drain. Don't want to look for another job. It's become so depressing around here. In all cases I just wish things would happen IF they are happening instead of future speculation. The unknown is what's hard.
