Average length of furlough

Wondering what the average length of a furlough is. There’s a guy on another message board who says he was hired in August 2014, furloughed in September 2015, and brought back in March 2018. I’m hoping it’s just a typo, and that he wasn’t actually furloughed for 3+ years. That’s insane.

Depends on your class of service and work history (base year). Figure roughly $750 every two weeks. It's not real great. These benefits are good for up to 26 weeks unless you qualify for extended benefits. Go here for more details.

I was furloughed out of Mechanical for two years back in the early 2000's.

No that’s accurate. And he actually made it a year after his new hire date before being furloughed so he’s luckier than some.
