When layoffs come, and at this point I think it’s safe to say that they will come sooner rather than later, from what parts of the company could they be RIFing the most. Is it possible that Oracle abandons some of its businesses that are not turning out to be profitable?

No, Oracle are laying off those products that are still profitable? Why, I don't know.
