Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

More than half the people in my district aren't hitting their numbers....that is a Verizon problem, not an employee problem

More than half the people in my district aren't hitting their numbers....that is a Verizon problem, not an employee problem, quotas are out of control, traffic is way down, promo's s--- and KPI's are set to high. Verizon has lost its mind, are we gonna write up and fire half our staff??? And when do all the do nothing GM's and sm's get written up. Over half of my store is on write up, not one manager has stepped up to help out any of the employees, they just sit in the back and look for bad transactions to put in a coaching for. if half your staff is on pip maybe the managers should be too.

A similar situation at my location. I glad @Y5U1RRn-2ztx brought this up

BOGO is available via compass for select customer when doing upgrades only. If you would use the escalation line and call customer pro team the reps can check if the offer is there. If it is, they can accept it and you in the store will be able to process the order. We can do the same with upgrade fees or any other compass offers, you just need to call and ask.

Our store had 4 boxes out at 4 o'clock today, traffic is a joke, nobody cares about a tablet, BOGO needs to be made available to upgrades and my area does not have waived act fees, our whole district has no traffic, and I'm in a major metro area, all A stores.

So your saying people still buy iPads and go into a store?

Lol the promos are some of the best I’ve ever seen right now. BOGO, $200 switcher , $250 off iPad & waive act fee.. what more could you possibly want.

Why is it a Verizon problem? This is probably what they want. Employees either need to accept it or quit and find another job. Seems like the ball is in their court.

We are told if we do not sell at least one hum a month we will be written up, how is that behavior based???

That is exactly their plan. Hans put this in place at his former company that he ruined. For those that stay with the increased work load they will measure them based on ridiculous performance measures and put you on a PIP. That way they don't need to pay severance. Very gutless way to sink a company.

You cant fire people based on numbers anymore. It's all behavior based.

They want to get rid of half the employees with out laying them off. It's cheaper and faster.

Second this. Managers have no time to be active on the floor and actually help push these outrageous numbers because of all the top down micromanaging b---s--- that does NOT encourage does NOT motivate and definitely does NOT drive sales... this company is so a-- backwards.
