Does anyone know if the VSP folks that were released in December will be getting the 3% profit sharing?

I think you either misunderstood what you heard in that conference call or the person answering the question did not know what they were talking about. Go read your FAQ again. In the 9/24 version, it was question #72.
If I separate from the Company under the VSP and there is a 2018 Profit Sharing Award paid in 2019, will I be eligible for the award?
Yes, Any such award would be based on the amount of your eligible pay accrued during 2018/
Additionally, question #73 states those off payroll in 2019 will receive a partial PSA for 2019 paid in 2020.
No you will not get the profit sharing from 2018 I asked during the conf calls in November band December s---s for us
