Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Transform Co

Check segno and acknowledge your official tranfer from Sears to Transform Co.

If no offer in Segno than Sayonara Mate.

It's an "associate lease offer"

.....slavery comes to mind....

Eddie Lampert is too busy watching big bo--y men shaking their bo--y cheeks to give a f##k about Sears/Kmart

Total BS. Centralized HR & MAs: now in India & Phillipine's. "Restructuring" with #1 priority to make numbers look good. No cuts at the top. They still fly, hotels, fancy meals. Cut the loyal little guys with a lifetime working there. No raises. No OT. Get ready for the fire sale people, it's coming.

Horrible working conditions in the backrooms, break rooms cluttered with old broken down appliances. Benefits expensive, workload increases with no raises. 401K plan has no employer contributions, has not had contributions for years. I was only there for a short time. I couldn't believe there were people that put in 15+ years with this company. Transformco CEO is the one walking away with all the money.

Transformco is run by the same slime balls that ran Sears to the ground. They are ready to let anyone go just to make themselves look good. Management is old school and does nothing to promote loyalty. They are ruthless! When the hatchet finely comes down on their heads, then they'll know it's over.

SO WHY THESE id–tS PURCHASE SEARS STORES JUST TO SHUT THEM DOWN?

Our store was informed today that we are closing by December. We were a top 25 store and all that bs but I guess that wasn’t enough. 15 years of employment and only a handful of execs were honest in their dealings with the stores.

Can someone tell me what the name is on your paychecks, or the payer for the paychecks in CA? Is it Transform Holdco?

If they’re actually taking money out of your check (assuming you aren’t paying back draw pay from prior pay periods) to cut you down to min. wage, that’s super illegal and you should contact your state’s labor folks with a complaint of wage theft.

In one year I made 400-600k in sales for this company it’s kind of hard to believe . With this new transformco we basically got tricked into our pay would continue the same . That is not true . Commission is being taken from our checks to equal minimum wage . Half the pay means we should only work half as hard .

The b---s--- their doing to the employees is unreal. I can't see this company being around long. Fast eddie will be 10 times richer than he is now with all his scamming employees.

Most of the people I work with signed it because they are mid 50s or early 60s ,and basically not going to find a better paying job. But when the pay drops 1 cent , I'm gone . 30 years wasted on a company that went from the best to the worst. Just trying to get a little closer to retirement. Theyve already taking everything, can't wait to see whats next.

They have today laid off people. How they jerk them around by the testic--sis disturbing. I hope theres better things out there for this people that they are abusing with a cactus!

and if any of you paid attention you would have noticed it's an arbitration agreement with the shortest job offer I've ever seen basically you're signing over all your rights for any class-action disgruntled emplyee sh-- unemployment claims pretty much anything if they decide not to give you a check your sh-- out of luck oh and then they put it under an LLC the most basic way of not getting f---ing sued for destroying a company so always will lambert not get sued but a company will die..im signing that sh-- only cuz this past 8 mnths has been fkn entertaining working at sears kmart watching the effect at the core of it all ..i kinda feel bad lambert did save jobs cuz those who still there sm and asm only throw salt on the mans name

I understand the concerns of employees, I am also an employee of Sears, I’m now in the process of researching TransFormCo and I will post my findings. As a tech we must understand that Eddie is not the cause of Sears failing it was local management.

SGMs were given until 4/6 to be at 100% responses from current employees, but you still have until 4/20 to sign the papers for THC. Everyone should have gotten one.

We’re being “rented” because we weren’t transferred to transform at the same time all the other assets were. We still work for SHLD, but transform is paying for us through SHLD until they decide to formally take over our employment. (Will probably happen at the end of Q1 (end of April/early May).

: @Y94Mce0-9rbo If you work for Sears holdings you may go on Segno and print the notice. It does not give many details, just that our benefits will stay the same but may change later on ( which is definitely going to happen ).

@Y94Mce0-6gsy If you do not see it on Segno you should go talk to your human resource as you might be looking in the wrong place. It is not under your compliance training it is further down.

If you do not accept the offer from Transformco then you are automatically out of a job after the deadline. The benefits can change at anytime and most likely they will. Full timers can receive pension benefits and still work full time, of course this is after the conversion is complete. People my recommendation is start looking for another job. If it is not possible get on seguí and acknowledge Transformco or else you will be without a job and not be able to collect unemployment benefits.

Sounds like just a bunch of disgruntled, laid off or fired employees. When Lampert bought the company out of bankruptcy, he started a new company, probably because of court oversight. What's the big deal? If you want to work sign here. If not, see you.

If you had actually read it, you’d know it isn’t a “contract.” It’s merely an offer of continued at-will employment under a new holding company. You can still quit and they can still fire you for no reason at any time.

It's a basic tenet that contracts made under duress are invalid. It'll make for an interesting angle for a class action if someone wants to challenge these someday.

In my entire working career I have never heard of anything like this before. It makes me suspicious that there is an end date of Jan 2020 that sounds like a long time but really this is only 9 more months. I am glad I got off the Sears crazy train last year. Those 9 months will go by very fast so I would suggest getting out now, especially if you are the only working spouse in your family... working there is just too risky to take a chance that the rug will be pulled out from under you in January.
