Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

So anyone on here that has has gone from the night shift to the new shift?

So anyone on here that has has gone from the night shift to the new shift? If so were you offered a severance? I've heard different rumors. I work nights for a reason, like most do. it is eliminating our position so for them to say they kept the job is bs. The shift has moved which does not fall into my open availability. I've worked for the company for over 10 years this drawing out the news is nerve wracking. I would love to know my options do I need to start looking for a job or do I stick it out until I really have to. My head is spinning, which is my fault for believing in a company that clearly does not believe in their long term associates.

we had a few who took the severence because they literally couldn't work the new shifts. Most switched over but many who did have since left the company or changed positions. The only ones who remain from the old night crew are the Night manager, team lead, and 20+ year associates counting the days til retirement. The rest are pretty much new hires who don't know the difference.

My club switched over to day stocking last year, I was offered severance, and took it.

Pretty sure there isn't severance but they're not taking away the night differential pay.

I do not work overnight, but from what I have read on here you will be offered severance. I would take it and find an overnight position at another company since that's what you're needing. Your severance should be able to get you by until you find something else. Good luck!
