Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

When will the next wave of layoffs start at Time Warner Media? And who is getting axed? Is it me?

It's very hard to concentrate when you just don't know whats going on.

stankey will s--- all the creativeness out of warner and will marginalize everyone no matter how important. then he will give himself a raise with all the money he is saving while the business goes down the drain.

Usually the company will have a clause in the merger contract to guarantee that people stay employed for so many months. DTV was like 12 -16 months that ATT would keep them on payroll. After that time frame is up the pain comes.

Article here discussing the closing of a Long Island facility, but says the move was planned before AT&T's acquisition.

AT&T says they want a bigger WarnerMedia. So, the only place I see layoffs is HR, benefit administration, and payroll, functions that duplicate departments already established at AT&T Inc.

In the creativity area, they want something to take on Netflix, so I don't see layoffs there. I saw some story today that Netflix won't give Apple any of their shows. Netflix is looking like the 800 pound gorilla, but with net neutrality out the window thanks to the Trump administration, we'll see.

Might be, producers might just need a network to transmit content on. 😃
