It's not over. Oracle will continue to decline. The idea that this is the last RIF is a lie.
As Oracle continues to lose customers, it will continue to lose employees. You are working in a dying company. You need to get yourself together, work on your resume and get out.
This is especially true for those in their 40s. Now is the time to switch jobs, don't wait until you are in your 50s.
It won't end, hasn't ended for over 15 years and why would it now. Except for PSFT, SUN and BEA - small rif's spread across multiple lob's, depending on how the wind blows for that quarter for that business unit. So don't waste time worrying about getting rif'd, either stay or go, whining about it doesn't change how Oracle treats employees and you'll make yourself sick.
