The solution is to use hard data to evaluate executives performance and compensate them accordingly. They have the tools within GDIA. Too often executives just make up numbers and “facts” to support their pay and agenda. They need to accept responsibility for the cost of poor non-fact based decisions. When they do not take responsibility for poor decisions, everyone below them follows suit.

When Ford leaders do not model Ford truths, people notice and behave accordingly.

I have witnessed some Ford C-suite routinely exhibiting extremely poor behaviors. One in particular is all polished and professional when higher ups are observing and the remainder of the time is a total Richard. It is highly unlikely that the higher ups are unaware of the poor behavior, they just don’t want to deal with it.

It's too much and nobody is worth that kind of money. Yet, there is no limit on this - they are just siphoning out funds from the shareholder while shortchanging vendors, customers and the employee. Cut the CEO wage 80% and there will still be an army of competent people lining up to apply for the job. Turbo Capitalism at it's finest!

Serious question though, how is Lear's average employee wage at $10,000??? They manufacturing their stuff in those chinese slave camps or something?

Competition, not collectivism, is the answer. If there are CEOs or companies making gobs of money but no competitors out there ready to eat their lunch, I guarantee the government is somehow involved setting up artificial barriers. From college tuition to the cost of medicine to pay of CEOs, somehow, some way the government is blocking competitors for their cronies.

Not saying ford ceo is the case. A person cannot work harder than 300 times the average. But a person who work smarter can be 300 times more profitable than an average person.

For example, anyone who invents a useful patent. Or lebron james, he is not working harder than average but most of us arent born with exceptional physical gift neither.

Don't need a news article to tell me the system is broken. This country is going to be run into the ground by greedy executives. I don't care how many hours you work, you cannot work 300 times harder than your employees. So why are they making 300 times more?

And you wonder why auto sales are going down. Yes some of it can be attributed to a changing industry, but who even has money to buy a new car these days when everyone is crushed under low wages and costs of living, especially healthcare, that is spiraling out of control?

For one thing, we all need to band together and be represented collectively, not just the plant workers. And I'm not talking about the UAW, which has become just as corrupt as everything else with leaders that are in the executives' pockets. True collective representation of the workers, for the workers.

Look at the supplier strikes in Matamoros Mexico over the last few months. The workers decided not to take it any more, and they ground the supply chain to a halt. And you know what? They won concessions from the management. People in this country need to start to realize that workers hold the real power over a company, but only when they're unified and act collectively.

If we all collectively decided not to put up with this any more, we wouldn't have to. But until we do that, it will be more layoffs, more cuts, and more inequality between what executives and normal employees make.
