Look, we are nothing but a number, a 'productivity unit', a means to an end designed to transfer wealth to stock holders. We are nothing more than that to people like Charlie, Bridget, and those of their ilk. It is the sad truth of modern state capitalism. (It does not have to be this way, but they have had their snouts in the trough far to long to imagine a different way of doing business.)
It is disingenuous on a grand scale for Charlie to speak in a "town hall" and declare his outrage at a man of color being racially profiled (he talked about a black man who said he had to always carry his ID when running, in case he was stopped by police). Not only does he insult our intelligence and people of color he has no clue about, but he insults our ethical foundations when he tries to come off as a 'force for good'. Nothing could be further from the truth.
While people like him and his money grubbing kind may be very good at transferring wealth to those who already have enough, they remain moral knuckle draggers in the grand scheme of things, and I personally wish they have stayed in the trees where the belong.
We would all be better for it.
