Hawaii Sears closing

This is a really accelerated liquidation schedule for a stealth closure, isn't it?: https://www.staradvertiser.com/2019/04/15/breaking-news/windward-mall-sears-closing-on-april-28/

Employees informed this Saturday, liquidation sales began Monday, auto center will be closed Wednesday, entire store to be closed April 28...that's a mere 2 weeks for full liquidation of the store!

It was reported by multiple news sources that the lease was up and Eddie chose not to renew it. If your store lease is up this year Eddie will probably not renew it. New Sears the same as Old Sears.

@1kvy I agree. Within 2 years Sears will be a distant memory if not sold. It takes time to convert to a smaller format and time is something Sears does not have if it wants to survive. The new Sears needs to hit the ground running and so far all they are doing is slowly stumbling.

And the new Sears begins just like the old Sears ended. This is only the beginning. Get ready.

Probably just gonna ship anything of value to another store. I heard this was over a rent dispute,

It looks more like a stealth chapter 7 liquidation. I'm betting that there will be more.
