I suggest that the greedy executive who run this company stand, place their hand over their heart and recite The Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America

and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible,

with Liberty and Justice for all.

Maybe that will help them remember that once worked for an American company

The great thing about a Federal law is that it applies to all 50 states

It doesn't matter what your age it

If you are laid off, your employer must provide you this info whether you are 25 or 75

Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA)

As part of the OWBPA, your employer must give you a document that has the job titles and ages of all laid off employees. The purpose of this disclosure is to discourage employers from selecting only older works for a layoff. Since this disclosure might indicate that mainly older workers were laid off, some employers fail to provide the disclosure

If your employer failed to provide you the disclosure required under the OWBPA, please search for OWBPA and lawyers to find a lawyer who specializes in employment law

Since this is a Federal law, it doesn't matter where the lawyer is located; the law applies, regardless of where you live

Is it true that UHG employs 150,000 people in India?

Optum hired a new employee in India the week before they laid off two people from my team. That was the 4th or 5th person in a row that was hired from India with no US based employees being hired for the last few years. Yep, jobs are moving to India for sure.
