I have seen the what if question to multiple possibilities( not based in reality), like stores closing to cut costs. It is a ridiculous theory.
Its like saying I will quit my job to cut costs. --An id--t's thought process.
CVS has successfully made many many many acquisitions, but lets point to the one that has had a hiccup. We cant even sat it won't be a good addition at this point, but the valuation was bad.
Taking one misstep and extrapolating does not constitute wisdom. In fact you seem fuzzy on the definition of wisdom. Wisdom doesn't jump to negative conclusions based on nothing.
Walgreens-- their express scripts fight landed CVS millions of scripts. Then Walgreens went to the power call center and landed CVS millions of scripts. They missed in a quarter with no idea why and cut a billion in spending, including store hours, which we gained thousands of scripts from.
Walgreens used to be larger than CVS. Walmart was on the ropes 2 years ago(which we are not) because of declining sales.
Business will change. CVS will make mistakes. People on this website will spout off about things that have no basis in reality.
It must be sad to dream in shades of black and gray.
