Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Earnings coming this week, more cost cutting?

I have not heard anything about Q1 earnings. Are they likely bad? What's the next round of cost cuttings? I wonder if they will finish this whole GIS/XBS thing before finding the next lowest hanging piece of fruit to trim out.

Failed product launch and two years later she’s still in charge of products.

That’s the Xerox way.

“The largest new product launch in Xerox history” (2017) hasn’t done anything to turn things around.

It was just another failed promise, wasn’t it Jeff?

Zacks predicts them to be pretty neutral: https://www.zacks.com/stock/news/389908/xerox-xrx-to-report-q1-earnings-how-things-are-shaping-up.

Most notably, they predict EPS up 25% year-over-year, due in large part to "Project Own It."

Revenue decline in line with predictions, large increase in EPS due to Project Own It execution, stock goes up. JohnV and SteveB have an easy story to tell investors. From the outside it looks like good progress is being made.

Huh, 3 years was the magic Conduent CEO turn around- must be tied to their max payout LTIP $.

Conduent is tracking similar BS- except they trademark their bad behavior “accushoring”

Sorry about cr-p at Xerox, always thought you treated your historical employees well- but your ethos wasn’t strong enough to break the sh- behavior that ACS carried.

Good luck.

Revenue decline won't hurt them unless drastically lower than forecast. Remember, JohnV's roadshow to the investors stated 3 years to turn around revenue decline so they're expecting it to continue to decline. Ironically, JohnV has portrayed the previous leadership as id--ts, and yet this administration has a very similar multiyear turnaround plan...

Revenue will be down but profit will be up. Revenue will be explained away due to "Internal transformative efficiencies being put in place" or some other ridiculous business buzz term. They will probably provide an update on the potential sale of the Xerox Financial Services portfolio which will get the market even more excited about the selloff of pieces. Although the numbers will not be good, I anticipate the stock will be up at the end of the week.
