Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

All levels of management are to blame

Unfortunately the layoffs and willing departures are continuing daily. Charlie has done more damage than good and has unfortunately done damage that cannot be undone. All levels of management are to blame for not acting with the morals that are just basic skills. You cannot obtain the knowledge and experience that has left this institution. Very sad situation for a once great place to work. I hope to be a part of something positive and we can turn this around soon.

Lower managers are to blame because they hire good and bad people but are to chicken to get rid of bad people. Remember mentality is still to equate power with how many people report to you regardless of their quality. So upper management have to do the job of lower managers and lay off people. Some good go with the bad. Simple.

inf - because rats spread the plague in the 14th century and are known for liking their cheese. Charlie is bringing about his own form of plague to destroy BNY Mellon

Seems like there are more Trump's.supporters than Chuck's supporters, not that I am complaining just an observation

Why do we call him Chuckie cheese , does not seem like he is eating cheese , he seemed fit to me in his black denims.

The trumpie dude has clinically serious issues as his mind is rejecting all reality which conflicts with his beliefs. It is in every Psychology 101 textbook. Feel sorry for him and hope that he gets the help he needs.

Make America great again and BNY great again are nothing but political slogans to fool people to get votes.. the lower corporate tax refunds were used by companies to do share buyback and undertake layoffs... To swell up the share price .. It totally back fired for trumpie and it will back fire for Chukie cheese too !!

Managers never were any good for anyone. Lay off all of the managers and let us run the company ourselves! We can bring it back better than ever. Make BNY great again!

I just want to come to work, do my job as well as possible under the circumstances, support the people around me, and go home. My boss is fair and I hope that I will not blame him if I am laid off, and I hope that he is not laid off. In my department, even managers have been laid off, so no one is safe, even the people that you blame.

From what I hear from friends in other companies, they are having the same struggles. Some let go, tough times for them and those still there. I suspect we may find this same situation if we go to another big financial company, if they are even hiring.

So sad that we blame each other for a situation that is probably directed from far above, with goals we cannot even fathom. Good luck to those now looking for a better place, good luck to those still here. Even good managers.
