Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How’s Cary, NC doing?

With all the renovations going on for 2.0 workplace, little birdie told me that - they will congest the employees currently in two buildings to one, with RIF threat ahead, they wanna make space for another segment of Verizon Communications to move in to the second building. Anything solid in this?

Little Birdie told me. Redesign is based on agents taking over all markets. This has been the plan for awhile. Slow process so that the consumer doesn’t notice. More profitable for VZW no need to pay for real estate, employee salaries, Inventory, we will focus just on selling the network to subscribers.

Wireless would do well in Cary. I’m sorry, I mean “Consumer”.

@1jso that's interesting as I recently read an email from corp real estate that all facilities were closed to contractors except one each in TX, GA and FL.

Sorry you are stuck in that environment.

The gates of Mumbai have opened as they moved a ton of IT and Infosys contractors into Cary1. I feel like I am in a 3rd world country now with no one speaking English.

Makes sense, buildings are no where near capacity.
