Work 90 hours or lower standards
I agree you should disappear if it takes 80 -90 hours. But..... Some people have pride and want the store to look as if they owned it and that is what it would take + more, to run a store using CVS outdated SOP's/compared to 2019 budget.
Others have lowered their store standards to a more realistic job/life balancing career.
If you think your store is perfect because of some metric ranking, just call up one of your buddy managers to give your store an honest walk thru.
Uhh yeah. You work for cvs. Why would you expect you shouldn't have to do things the way the company wants them? If you were smarter than cvs, you would have your own company instead of spending all your time on a layoff message board.
What that RM was trying to say was we have a code red, free thinkers! And by “work out” he meant show out, as in show them out the door, because at cvs we strongly discourage free thinking! CVS is getting like George Orwell’s “1984” either get with the program or else.

To the previous poster, exactly! All CVS wants is subservient “yes sir” slaves. As long as you have NO life, and no family, and you can work 24/7, 365 and you stay within the lines and do as your told like a slave, then you are exactly the kind of manager cvs wants! Do not think outside the box, do not color outside the lines, think act say and do only as corporate does, and never question a higher up. Oh and remember the motto of working at cvs... “A day off is a bad word!”
Of course we are not. They want a flocks of stupid sheep that will follow their leader into a burning barn. Ones that will work 80-90 hrs a week mopping floors, cleaning windows and not question the man behind the curtain.
All they have to do is keep up what they are doing and over time we will disapear.
Generic RM speak for paperworking out the low performers/ones who don’t drink the koolaid as much. Nothing new here.
